Annual Fund

This type of gift is important because it provides ACLD with the flexibility and resources needed to help balance and/or expand our operating budget. A gift to the Annual Fund is a most effective way to support ACLD’s programs and services. Our largest direct service program is the ACLD Tillotson School. The school positively impacts students from seven counties in the Greater Pittsburgh region. Funds received from the state and school districts do not cover the total cost of the school’s operating budget. Our school serves children who cannot be provided with appropriate special education programs and services within the public school system.

Endowment Fund

A gift to ACLD’s Endowment Fund will help preserve ACLD’s mission. Your gift will have an infinite capacity to keep giving far into the future. And your gift will provide a stable source of income for ACLD’s worthwhile programs.

Walk for a Healthy Community Walk-a-thon

Each year ACLD is involved in a large walk-a-thon that is sponsored by Highmark. Over thirty charities take part. The walk is held in May at Heinz Field. All funds raised by ACLD at this event remain with us. Come join us for this event, enjoy the walk and company, and help ACLD raise funds for its programs and services.
