ACLD relies on the financial support of the community to sustain its mission and empower children, adolescents, and adults with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) to achieve self-sufficiency, employment, and financial independence.

Your donation helps ensure that ACLD maintains high quality special education programs and related services for our constituents in the Greater Pittsburgh Region.

ACLD prides itself on being a very good steward of its funds. Over ninety cents (90 cents) of each dollar that ACLD receives is spent on direct services and programs for clients and their families and on providing the public with information on Specific Learning Disabilities and related disorders. The majority of charities in the United States cannot match this standard.

ACLD is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization under the IRS tax code. Donations made to ACLD are tax-deductible. ACLD, Inc. was granted its 501(c) (3) status on June 18, 1968. ACLD is also a Pennsylvania registered charitable organization.
